CEOOne of the co-founders of GeoSmart Energy, Stan is among the geothermal industry’s most well-respected and highly sought after knowledge experts and educators. In 2008, he was awarded The Canadian GeoExchange Coalition’s prestigious Prize for National Leadership. Over the past thirty-five years, he has held senior leadership positions in several leading geothermal companies, and has developed expertise in all aspects of the industry including installation, distribution, manufacturing and training. His best practice approach has influenced hundreds of thousands of geothermal heat pump installations across Canada and the U.S. and has raised the bar on installation practices across Canada. The popular industry phrase ‘Stan says . . .’, is evidence of his high standing within the geothermal HVAC community.
PresidentA co-founder of GeoSmart Energy, Cheryl has been working in the geothermal industry for close to thirty years. Her background includes experience in sales, administration and system installation with one of Canada’s leading geothermal dealers and general accounting and administration with a North American leader in geothermal heat pump manufacturing. A consummate professional, she is the backbone behind the family-oriented corporate culture that epitomizes GeoSmart Energy’s relationship with dealers and their customers.
Vice-PresidentAs Vice-President of GeoSmart Energy, Chad brings vision, leadership and technical expertise to his role. He entered the geothermal industry in 2001 where he honed his technical geothermal skills under the guidance of two of North America’s most recognized and respected geothermal leaders, and then went on to co-found GeoSmart Energy in 2005. Since his beginnings in the geothermal industry, Chad has been responsible for more than a quarter billion dollars in revenue contributed to the Canadian ground source heat pump economy. Chad holds bachelor of arts degree from Wilfrid Laurier University, has been a director of several industry related boards, and is a Conestoga College HVAC Program Advisory Committee member.
Operations ManagerGeoSmart Energy co-founder Stephen Marco brings 20 years of Residential and Commercial design and install experience to the mix. As Operations Manager his IT Specialist, Purchasing and Materials Handling Management skills keep our industry leading Technical Services, Accounting and Distribution Systems running smoothly. His hands on approach working to establish the GeoSmart Dealer network has produced countless Residential and Commercial success stories with ground breaking geothermal application designs.
